Have You Ever Thought About Satellite on Your PC | ArticlesBase.com
Are you an avid computer user and are looking to fire your cable company. Then satellite television on your Personal computer may be up your ally. The cost savings and the versatility of the concept is just tremendous.
I was in this situation six months ago. My cable provider informed me by mail that my services would be going up another 10 percent. This would have been the third rate hike in 2 years. I had just had enough, and I needed to find an alternative.
I never have much luck with the traditional satellite services due to the number of trees that my dish would need to point through. So a good friend suggested satellite television on my PC. I was a little confused because I though that is the traditional satellite provider would not work, how is this going to be any better.
I have been able to connect my PC directly to my HDTV set and watch everything on my big screen like it was connected to the wall jack.
The service has been great for the past 3 months. Id did take me a little work to get the HDTV to PC connection to work and thank goodness for the HDTV handbook. Always use a VGA cable when making this connection.
Here are a few other reasons that I am going to stay with my Satellite TV to PC solution.
1. No Monthly fee or equipment rental fee. I only had to pay a onetime setup fee.
2. The ability to use the service on multiple computers and television in my home. I can also use this service when I travel out of town.
3. I do not need to store any bulky equipment next to my HDTV.
4. I was able to start using it within 5 minutes of downloading the Software.
5. I get over 3000 worldwide channels (local, national, and global)
