Microsoft Dynamics GP is midmarket Corporate ERP application, also formerly known as Great Plains Software Dynamics and eEnterprise. In our opinion it has rich business logic, which could lead to user training to be required with precise data entry and flow procedures design for each department and user role.

At the same time rich functionality gives you the opportunity to find the way to automate unique business processes for various industries and niches. From the technology side, Great Plains Dynamics doesn't prevent you from feeding data directly via SQL insert statement, which makes this application very flexible, but has potential to cause the problems by compromising data integrity (this openness is not possible in newer ERP systems, such as Axapta Dynamics AX or SAP Business One). Let's review Dynamics GP in the sense of being implemented for nationwide wholesaler or distributor:
1. Distribution modules in GP. Here you see the key modules for Wholesale specific business processes automation: Inventory Control (with Bill of Materials), Purchase Order Processing and Sales Order Processing. There is large community of Microsoft Dynamics GP ISV partners, offering and supporting numerous add-ons to extend distribution logic as well as provide vertical and horizontal solutions. We would like to visit such features as Warehouse Management System, EDI (Electronic Document Interchange), B2B eCommerce
2. Warehouse Management System. This is probably one of the first items on your list, when you are selecting new Corporate ERP application, being in Wholesale or Distribution business. WMS probably requires decision on the philosophy of the integration with your ERP system. There are two types of WMS approaches. First one is external standalone WMS, which is completely self-sufficient with good level of reporting and with possible connectors or integration packages to major ERP and Accounting applications. These types of WMS have larger number of installations, which is good point, however there are sometimes complains about their integration to core ERP or back offices accounting applications, as being too complex and requiring high level of unexpected consulting hours. Plus, imagine – you have already paid for WMS business logic in Dynamics GP (or another Corporate ERP application) and now in external WMS you have to pay for similar software business logic to be integrated in its counterpart transactions and objects in Dynamics GP Distribution. The second WMS approach is Dynamics GP WMS extensions, where you simply enable SOP Sales Transaction for Fulfillment, POP Purchase Receipt as Merchandise replenishment and Inventory Transfer and Adjustment transactions for barcode scanning. We favor the second approach with Dynamics GP WMS extensions
3. Electronic Document Interchange. You may require your wholesale customers to submit their sales orders via EDI or if you are ordering from large manufacturers, EDI compliance might be required from you. In our opinion EDI and its technology require research and understanding what you really need. Old fashioned EDI was represented by text file with precise field format with document header, lines and trailer. With the introduction of XML, EDI has now new horizons to be more universal, however there is no generally accepted standards on XML EDI. There are various Dynamics GP EDI add-ons, but we would not recommend to rush to purchase one of them, EDI could be easily implemented via SQL Stored Procedure, where you can read and parse EDI tech file (precise SQL Select formatting) or process any type of XML EDI file. The second part of EDI is media – typically old fashioned http posts, or newer approaches, such as ftp upload/download and even email
4. E-Commerce. Electronic commerce makes the cost of each transaction close to zero, even in the wholesale trade environment. Regarding ecommerce and Dynamics GP we have to respect the history and trends in ecommerce shopping cart software development. There is good portion of the market hosted in Linux where you can see PHP platform and such shopping cart as Magento. Alternatively on Microsoft Windows .Net you see such popular shopping cart as ASP .Net Storefront. We have ecommerce add-ons directly from Alba Spectrum, which has wizard driven implementation interface and it works with our Warehouse Management Extensions for Dynamics GP
5. Barcoding in Dynamics GP. Technically every Great Plains form, where you need to enter something via keyboard, might be automated with barcode scanner. If you walk on the warehouse floor with tiny computer, where Dynamics GP client is installed and if this computer is connected to your server via wireless connection – you can open required transaction (such as SOP Document for allocation), pull the document number, position cursor over the line, where barcode label could be scanned and finally scan the physical label of the item, located in the bin of you isle – this should do the job. However this solution might be too nonrealistic, as you expect warehouse workers to do mass scanning and then upload the documents in the batch (picking slips application, inventory count, etc.). This is one of the reasons, why you need WMS extensions
6. For Questions, to request presentation, or any type of additional information, please call us 1-866-528-0577, 1-630-961-5918 or email us help@albaspectrum.com If our WMS, eCommerce, EDI product fits to your requirements, or if our generic Dynamics GP Dexterity, eConnect, VBA/Modifier, FRx, Extender or other Dynamics GP oriented technology skills – we are happy to provide nationwide support (USA, Canada) or even international support via web sessions, and if required initial visits onsite to establish communication with key IT and Accounting departments folks.

Due to the mass amounts of information available to everyone online, it can be somewhat overwhelming when considering the task of finding a new doctor.

Due to the mass amounts of information available online, it can be somewhat overwhelming when considering the task of finding a new doctor. People have the ability to post opinions, experiences, and facts in a way that can help others determine a good path. However, the choice regarding which site to choose when researching a physician can in itself, be a bit of a chore. In this article, we will outline a few tips to help you utilize a quality physician ratings site.

Step 1 – Sit down and write out a list of what you're looking for in a doctor. Jot down the information that's important to you along with the requirements you will stick to when making your final decision. Knowing what you are looking for is always the first step to any good search. Once you have this outlined and settled, you can move forward.

Step 2 – Talk to others who have undergone a similar search in the past. This information can come from anyone, including close friends, co-workers, and family members. If you are looking for a specialist, you can even ask your primary care giver for a few recommended tips on how to get started. Ask if they've used an internet rating site before, and what they believe to be the best bet for finding someone you will be comfortable working with. Doctors will often have done a fair amount of research on the topic, and should be able to point you in the right direction.

Step 3 – Grab a seat at your computer and head to your favorite search engine. Type in "physician ratings" and hit the search button. There will likely be a number of options to choose from in the initial search. Pick a few and scroll through until you find one that makes the most sense to you. Some will be made up primarily of patient reviews, where as others will combine patient opinions with other information such as education, experience, specialties, etc.

Step 4 – Take the time to really read through the reviews. If you are checking up on a particular doctor, you may want to specify their name in your initial search. However, if you are looking for recommendations, there will often be an area which will enable you to choose specialties and locations. If you've unsatisfied with the content provided, simply move along to the next one.

Step 5 – It's important to note that while many of the sites can be extremely helpful, that not all reviews are to be taken to heart. Though a review will indeed reflect the opinion of a patient who has had an experience with the physician in question, their priorities may ultimately differ from yours. When reading a review, take a look back at the list you wrote out in step one to see if it aligns with the aspects you are looking for. There's always the chance that what appears awful to one person, may prove beneficial to your situation. Always keep an open mind, and stay focused. Your ideal doctor is out there. It just may take a little effort to find them.

Despite the evolution of computers, smart phones and other types of technology, pens, pencils and other types of office stationery still fulfil a massive role in everyday life, even though many people thought that everything would now be on a screen rather than a notepad.

If you go into any office, in any country, you will see the same few things, paper, whiteboards and notepads, all of which require some type of pen or pencil to write on them, proving that no matter how far forward we go with technology the old methods will still be in existence. Pens have been around for thousands of years, with the first pen rumoured to have been recorded way back in the day of Ancient Indians, which were thought to be made out of bird feathers and possibly bamboo sticks. Reed brushes were said to be used by the Egyptians and were said to have been used right the way through to the Middle Ages.

Around the year 79, a copper nib was first discovered and the first ever patent for a metal nib was filed in 1803, but due to the lack of action take upon it, Birmingham based John Mitchell started to make these pens around 1823, which was a massive evolution for the pen world at this time as the pens became much easier to use and less reliant on ink levels to really perform. It was down to a French student to invent the fountain pen, something which the Government at the time went on to patent in the late 1820's. John J Loud was the first person to issue a patent when he invented the ballpoint pen towards the end of 1888 and the world renowned biro pen first had its patent passed in 1938, which really became one of the first commercial pens to hit the market, the same make we all still use today.

In the early 1980's the first Rollerball pens were developed and launched to an awaiting market, with these clever pens having a tiny rolling ball inside which helped to produce a much smoother writing style and really helped to develop the technology which we now know in most modern pens.

The history of pens contains many more dates, events and chapters than we see above, but even just taking into account these key ages that have been mentioned, it is clear to see how the pen has developed into something that despite all of the advances in technology, something we all still use on a daily basis, no matter where we are or what we are doing.

Ben Pugh works for the Pen Collection , an online retailer selling some of the finest pens to both customers and collectors. Pen Collection has been launched to give the widest choice of quality pens at the lowest prices.

A physical therapist is someone who works side by side with individuals who have had the misfortune of suffering from disabilities resulting from disease or accidents.

A physical therapist is one who works side by side with individuals who have had the misfortune of suffering from disabilities resulting from disease or accidents. A PT is able to design a rehabilitation plan along with doctors and medical professionals treating the patient to obtain positive results in the form of restored physical abilities. Physical therapy can include different forms of exercise, massage, and ultrasound techniques. In this article, we will outline the necessary steps to becoming a PT.

Step 1 – Be aware that students must obtain a bachelor's or master's degree that will include various courses involving chemistry, physics, and biology. Students who are serious in pursuing the field should begin their course work in high school.

Step 2 – Students will also be required to have strong interpersonal skills. PTs will often be put in situations working with disillusioned patients and family members, and must be able to council them through the process both physically and emotionally.

Step 3 – A high grade point average is essential to a career in the field. As the career path is highly competitive, students must be at the top of the game and be willing to put in the long hours needed to learn and retain the information necessary to becoming a PT.

Step 4 – Get in touch with local hospitals, private practices, and rehabilitation centers and ask questions regarding their hiring procedures. Look for an internship which shows promise of a job post graduation. This is a great way to get your foot in the door and gain some first hand experience dealing with patients and physicians in the field.

Step 5 – Once you have received a degree, you will want to pass the mandatory licensure exam. Make sure to inspect your state's requirements regarding licensing prior to graduation in order to obtain a firm grasp of what is needed.

Step 6 – Evaluate your options regarding a specialty. These include areas like pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine. Discuss your options with your school counselor regarding training and degrees for your specialty in order to become certified. You may even decide to get a little hands on work in, prior to deciding.

Step 7 – Once you've obtained your certification, you have the option of deciding to open your own practice<a target="_blank" href="http://www.articlesfactory.com/articles/computers.html” rel=”nofollow”><img src="http://www.articlesfactory.com/pic/x.gif" alt="computer Technology Articles” border=”0″>, or enlisting with an existing one. Take the time to get comfortable in your new position and make the decision when it feels right.

commodity anymore; they are a necessity no matter what is your job. We all have them at home, at work, carry them around and cannot imagine life without them.

We are definitely highly dependent on them and use them at home, at work, for education, in pass time, when buying something or looking for address or telephone number. Logically, as the number of computers rises, so does the need for technicians and individuals in charge if their maintenance and repair. Technicians must be very well trained, reliable, educated and with some experience. Nowadays more and more institutes and colleges provide education regarding computer repair services for computer technicians and offer a necessary training and practice.

The field of knowledge and services for computer repair services technicians is very wide. They must know how to install computer systems, how to repair them if necessary and should be in charge of the maintenance.

Technicians can work solo as freelancers, or team up in a company or a service providing team, to cover more computers and gain more work.

In order to work in the field of computer repair services, you must undergo technical training and gain certain knowledge regarding this topic. It is very important because usually, work must be done very quickly (people need their computers), professionally and without any unpredicted errors or mistakes. In order to start computer repair services technical training, you must know that there is a certain entry level needed to qualify for the institute. Levels are: Certificate for IT practitioners NCFE, then there is a General Level 2, First Certificate a.k.a. BTEC, Level 2, and also National Certificate IT Practitioners, System Support ICT, Level 3.

Institutes and schools mostly offer courses which cover Comp TIA A+ certification and that includes the following: Installation and upgrading, configuration setting, diagnosis and troubleshooting, maintenance and prevention, processors, motherboards and memory, printers setup and maintenance, networking (basic level), fundamentals of operating systems and finally networks.

It’s not the 80s or 90s anymore. What does this mean? It means that the times of excess, irrational exuberance, and a massive number of leveraging, are over. We are now entering a phase of deflation, which means prices for everything would decrease.

It’s not the 80s or 90s anymore. What does this mean? It means that the times of excess, irrational exuberance, and a massive amount of leveraging, are over. We are now entering a phase of deflation, which means costs for everything can decrease. This can be good in some ways, but overall, it’s bad. It can damper the economic recovery.

What it means for you is that if you have anything lying around the home that you might sell, it’s important that you do it now. Once deflation is evident to the broad public, nobody will be willing to pay fair costs for something they want. All their funds is going to be spent on needs, not wants. If you’re selling stuff to raise dollars, then it’s even more important that you get moving right away. The stock market is holding on by a thread. The flash crash in late May was a sure sign that something nasty is on the horizon. A similar signal was sent in early 2008, prior to the market dropping over 40% in a matter of weeks. Once this happened, banks stopped lending and the entire economy came to a screeching halt.

If you need to raise dollars and you’re not sure what to sell, simply take an inventory of what you have in your home. Look around and ask yourself what you don’t need or use anymore. You must be strict with this. If you’re teetering with a decision, sell it. Some popular stuff that sell would online are fine china, jewelry, and sporting equipment. Items that don’t sell well are clothes and used computer equipment. Focus on the former. If you find any antiques in your attic or basement, get them appraised before selling.

intaining and repairing computers and devices can be done from a shop or even better, from your home. Being “your own boss” and providing computer repair services from your home, comes with great responsibility and also with a lot of benefits.

Many success stories about business development have started from home. Once you decide to run your own computer repair services company, from home, you must keep thing in mind: it will be a hard work, you will have to be very flexible with working hours, it will not be easy at first, you must advertise your services, and you must be professional and successful in order to have a good word of mouth recommendation.

As we have mentioned, there are also many benefits for those who start their own computer repair services from home: lower costs, you are your own boss, you can manage your working hours by yourself, you will work from home therefore on a slower day you can manage to finish other things around the house, and many more.

Here is what you need to know if you are starting computer repair services from your home:

Starting costs " The business you are about to establish (computer repair services from your home) means very little overhead and that should be very clear from the start. Rent and utilities are already part of your life routine, so that is not a new thing. Phone line is already there too, but keep in mind that you will be using it more, so the bill will increase slightly (it depend on the way you organize work, but keep in mind that customers should call you in need of advice, and not vice versa). Extra phone line might be the only big thing to start with but it will still be cheaper than to get an office phone.

Taxes " another benefit of running computer repair services from your home. Many tax advantages are “in store” for home based companies. computer, office space even computer can be deducted, on return. Major tax breaks should be left to your accountant; he will find a lot of space to handle your finances with tax deductions and maximum usage of benefits for home-employed individuals and companies.

More time for your family " last but not least, if you are self employed you manage your time. Keep in mind that you shouldn't take advantage of this fact, but to enjoy the freedom you will experience " always! Good luck.

Even though they can't always be bypassed, it's important to be aware that personal computer glitches can usually be corrected. The key is to learn what personal computer errors are, learn what they mean when they pop up, and know how to minimize their popping up to begin with. Help can be found through online PC support.

PC glitches may crop up when least expected, they can cause the entire PC to abruptly shut down, or they can unfortunately mess up your data to the extent where it cannot be understood – one reason you should have offsite backups. Although they can't always be avoided, it's crucial to remember that computer error messages may usually be corrected. The answer is to find out what personal computer error messages are, learn what they mean when they appear, and understand how to minimize their popping up at all. Advice is available via online PC support.

Essentially, computer errors are the result of various things which might or may not be related to the way the personal computer is utilized. They are generated whenever there is a conflict between commands. You should know that personal computers basically run by a series of instructions, and it is usually a smooth routine. However, in case one instruction clashes with another command – or when one command asks for a process or information that isn't available, the personal computer spits out results which are not usable: that's a glitch. The most feared error message is the fatal Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) which appears on your screen whenever something has caused your system to crash.

A common instance of this type of glitch is when novices attempt to run software that is not suitable for their PC. Nearly all programs include a list of system requirements which specifies what a computer needs to have for the application to run properly. To minimize glitches of this type, you must verify that your computer has the needed parts. A project management software package that you are interested in may require a certain operating system, like Windows 7 for example. And even though this software package may install OK on a Windows XP system, it will cause a string of error messages once it's started.

Insufficient memory will cause error messages also. For this reason programs usually specify minimum RAM needs. A program that needs 14 megabytes of memory will cause errors on a personal computer that only possesses 4 megabytes of memory available – if it will start at all. The same goes for hard disk space, display color range and resolution. In such cases, issues crop up the moment that a program tries to connect to the items (hardware, RAM, hard disk space, monitor resolution, etc.) which it cannot locate.

Because some software packages share common dynamic link library files, error messages could also occur when these common DLLs aren't updated. For example, let's say that Program A is already installed on a personal computer and it's running just fine. Then consider that the PC user downloads and installs Program B. Program B uses a DLL that Program A installed much earlier, but when Program B is run, error messages appear. Those glitches are caused by Program B attempting to access an obsolete common DLL that was included with Program A. So that he can remedy that issue, the user must find on the Internet a newer version of the shared dynamic link library file (which speaking mildly – isn't an easy thing to find or install).

At times, errors appear when a computer does not have the right drivers or if the drivers which are installed in the computer are the incorrect version. Both glitches in these cases may be resolved by checking for updates to the system on a frequent basis. Microsoft provides a section on its servers which can automatically install updates to a personal computer online, and that company does this free of charge in order to to reduce glitches like this. Always try to keep your personal computer updated in order that in case a program shares a DLL, it will share the same dynamic link library file that has been updated on millions of computers like yours.

This essay doesn't even begin to address the entire gamut of personal computer error messages – but more information concerning methods to locate assistance with a computer problem (including computer glitches) may be read in my article on “computer Help” regardless of what the problem is. You may also look up online PC support to help resolve these error messages.

What the heck is a drop card?

Even with all of the attention the internet is getting when it comes to creating phenomenal success in network marketing, there are still some offline prospecting techniques that work like gangbusters. Drop cards is definitely one of them.

A drop card is simply a business card that looks like a $100 bill when folded, and they are typically just dropped on the ground for an unsuspecting passerby. On the card is something about making some extra cash and a phone number or website for interested people to contact you at.

Effective Placement of Drop Cards

To get maximum AND quality exposure from your drop cards, make sure you don't just drop them anywhere, creating litter and trash for someone else to pick up. Place them in these strategic places, and the response you get will be targeted and complaints will be at a minimum.

1. Bookstores & Libraries

Go into your local Barnes & Noble and pick a section of the store that your targeted prospect would go to (self-development, home business, etc.). Find some good books and magazines and place a drop card inside. Magazines are great because you can just locate the cover story and pop one of those suckers right in there. Targeted response / high quality leads.

2. Restaurants

This is a widely used avenue for placing drop cards, but nonetheless can be quite effective. Make sure you leave a decent tip then just leave a card with the tip. You can even ask your waiter or waitress at some point during the meal "Would you be interested in making some extra cash part-time without it interfering with your current job?" I mean come on, who in their right mind would say no to that?

3. Airplanes

Grab a stack of drop cards before you take your next trip and get a ton of leads from 30,000 feet. Make sure you are one of the first to get on the plane (or the last to get off), and place a card in the magazines in front of each seat. People are stuck the plane for hours at a time; being sold tons of goodies through magazines like Skymall, why not get in on the action?

4. Toll Booths

If you're in an area that has toll roads, next time you have to pay a toll, look at the car behind you. If it's a decent car, pay their toll and tell the attendant to simply give a drop card to the person behind you. Now you've caught their attention, they LIKE you, and they are holding the path to a successful business in their hands. What more could you ask for?

5. Coffee Shops

Coffee shops are perfect for drop cards that use a website rather than a phone number because people often times come here to do work on their computers. You get immediate exposure to your website or lead capture page and you capture a prospects attention while that drop card is still fresh in their mind.

What to put on your drop card

In the past, these cards have typically had a few lines of text and a phone number to call if you're interested. That's a great way to get on the phone and talk to your prospects, but you don't have an effective way to sort those prospects prior to the phone conversation.

A much better way to increase the quality of leads is to send them to a website or lead capture page that gives a general overview of what you have to offer. Interested AND motivated prospects will opt-in to the website to get more information, while those who aren't interested will simply stay away. Now that you have their information you can send them a series of emails THEN follow up on the phone. Quality leads and a professional sorting system makes for an explosive business model.
